In response to an increasing homeless population, 7 Hills Homeless Center is increasing its education services by 66% and needs folding chairs for the classroom.A legislative Joint Performance Review Committee Meeting held yesterday in Little Rock addressed how a $4 million deficit could occur in the University of Arkansas' Advancement Division. Arkansas Lieutenant Governor Mark Darr yesterday was adamant that he would not resign in the face of a number of ethics violations, though some state legislators say that impeachment proceedings are likely to occur. The Sebastian County Quorum Court has laid preliminary plans for expanding the county's Emergency Medical Service headquarters in Greenwood. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics posts November jobless numbers for Northwest Arkansas and the Fort Smith metro areas. And, the U of A Women's Basketball Team makes it onto a Top-25 list.

Ground will be broken early this new year on a much-anticipated northwest Arkansas highway project, known as the “Fayetteville Flyover” which will create easy access from North College Avenue to both the mall district and Interstate 540.
Outdoor recreation specialist Dr. Gregory Benton has researched the people who participate in reenactments of battles that happened 150 years ago. Ozarks at Large's Christina Thomas speaks with Dr. Benton about why the reenactors take part in historical battles, such as the one happening at Prairie Grove Battlefield Park this Saturday.
