A remarkable canyon straddles the border of Arkansas and Missouri, northeast of Berryville. Once settled by scrappy farmers, the springs-drenched Dogwood Canyon has been conserved by a Missouri entrepreneur. Manager, Chad Phillips, says visitors are welcome year round. The president pro-tempore of the Arkansas Senate says he will assume the duties of presiding over the Senate this session in lieu of a Lieutenant Governor. Mark Pryor and supporters of Tom Cotton's run for the seat have both made significant TV advertising buys in the past few days. Students and staff at Lingle Middle School in Rogers collected more than 3,000 items of nonperishable food to donate to five local agencies.
Last month, the relatively new University of Arkansas Ballroom and Latin dance club took to the floors of the Ohio Star Ball, the largest ballroom dancing competition in the nation.
