Though Arkansas is still 30% above the rest of the nation, the state is finally seeing declining rates when it comes to new lung cancer diagnoses and moralities due to lung cancer. We hear from Dr. Gary Wheeler with the Arkansas Department of Health.

The Benton County Children's Advocacy Center recently received reaccreditation. And Bentonville Public Schools begins to think about names and mascots for its second high school that will be built in Centerton.

Ahead on this edition of Ozarks, as the state prepares for a busy election year, one county makes changes to its polling sites. Plus, a physical fitness event this weekend celebrates two very different causes, and we visit with a founder of the Soweto Gospel Choir, which is performing tonight at Walton Arts Center.
The Kids in Need Foundation has 27 warehouses around the country that allow teachers from qualified schools to shop for supplies for free. Work is underway to bring a 28th center to northwest Arkansas.

When classes begin at public schools this month, some teachers will have new responsibilities when it comes to teaching some of the basics. Rose Ann Pierce, education reporter for Northwest Arkansas Newspaper, explained during a recent visit to Ozarks at Large.

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville has purchased a half interest in The Alfred Stieglitz Collection of Modern American and European Art owned for more than 60 years by Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. The collection will rotate between both institutions at two-year intervals.
