At any given time, there are around 4000 children in foster care in Arkansas. Of those, 500 will never return home. Sebastian County has the second-largest number of foster kids and children available for adoption behind only Pulaski County though its population is much less. Ahead on this Super Bowl day edition of Weekend Ozarks, Christina talks to three different coaches about their line of work, Kyle goes super-bowling, finding out about the trend of Arkansas high schools' inclusion of bowling as a varsity sport.
New standardized public education testing will be tried in Arkansas public schools under the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers. As Jacqueline Froelich reports, one million students across 18 states, including Arkansas, will participate in the “Next Generation Assessment” field tests.
