The state legislature yesterday continued considering changes to the Private Option in order for the Medicaid expansion to continue, at least for the remainder of the year, changes that Governor Mike Beebe doesn't necessarily agree with, though he does concede the amendments make the bill more pallatable to some politicians. University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Northwest Arkansas campus announced a $1.5 million gift from Willard and Pat Walker Charitable Foundation today. The gift will fund the construction of a clinical skills education center. The center’s scheduled to open by mid next year.
