The latest Talk Business-Hendrix college poll suggests that the two front-runners in this year's gubernatorial race are nearly tied, though a few percentage points could make a difference either way come November. And, the CEO of QualChoice says that the company's recent acquisition by a national health care company may mean more jobs for Arkansas.
Ahead on this edition of Weekend Ozarks, the sounds of Spring and Summer are lone without the chirps of frogs. We visit an area pond to hear what's hopping, and we celebrate the croaking amphibian in our Sunday morning montage.

Ahead on this edition of Ozarks, the National Veterans Golden Age Games are set to take over Fayetteville and the region this weekend; we speak with one 79-year-old Vietnam veteran who hopes to win in his competitions, and we speak with an Arkansas elder who decided to obtain his GED many, many years after his high school years had passed. At the conclusion of last week’s business, Roby Brock from our content partner Talk Business Arkansas sat down with David Sanders, a Republican member of the Senate from Little Rock, and Warwick Sabin, a Democratic member of the House, also from Little Rock. The conversation included talk about Medicaid expansion, the death penalty, taxes and ethics. Roby began the discussion by asking Senator Sanders what might be different for this legislative agenda since the GOP is in control at the capitol.
