Ahead on Ozarks, the New Year brings an increased need for nurse practitioners in Arkansas. And 100 CEOs have given their opinions about what they think 2014 may have in store for businesses in Arkansas. Plus some of the first live music in 2014 will be inside: we have a preview of a new festival in Eureka Springs that can be attended in stocking feet.

Ahead on this edition of Ozarks, the four men running for Arkansas governor weigh in on what they might do with the Private Option expansion if elected. And we hear from people trying to stop illegal dumping in counties across the region as well. We also hear comment from a ribbon cutting last night for a new stretch of trail in Fayetteville that will allow easier access to Mount Kessler and more.

Legislators yesterday heard about the progress of the Private Option rollout in the state, while Governor Mike Beebe offered his thoughts on consequences to the state's budget if the legislature decides to gut the program in the coming fiscal session.
