"True collaboration is that willingness to extend yourself to a new place but in a way that does not feel like anything has been given up," says singer-songwriter Tift Merritt. While collaboration between musicians of different genres is nothing new, it's difficult to do well. The album "Night," a collaboration between Merritt and classical pianist Simone Dinnerstein, does just that. Bucky Ball, a geometric, LED sculpture by artist Leo Villareal, is the first temporary outdoor installation for the museum. The work gets its name from Buckminster Fuller, an architect who designed geodesic domes. Ozarks at Large’s Christina Thomas spoke with Villareal about this and other works.

Recent projections show Springdale officials that a list of street improvement projects slated to receive voter-approved bond money may cost more than is budgeted from bond sales. The Eureka Springs Downtown Network receives national accreditation, and consequently a higher-perceived reputation. Aldermen in Bella Vista decide that the city should take over the Bella Vista Library, but that's only the beginning. And the Diamond Hogs finished non-conference play with a win at Baum Stadium last night.
