In reaction to the Newtown, Connecticut elementary school massacre, Arkansas schools continue to bolster security—from hiring armed guards to installing heavy surveillance. We check districts around the region, talk with school security experts, look at current state legislation, and hear from former U.S. Congressman Asa Hutchinson on the status of his National School Shield Emergency Response Program, commissioned by the National Rifle Association.

Ahead on this edition of Ozarks: Bishop Gene Robinson is coming to Fayetteville this weekend to be a speaker in the McMichael Lecture Series. Last week he talked with Jacqueline Froelich and we'll hear part of that conversation. Plus, a new exhibit at one museum tells the story of another. The Shiloh Museum in Springdale is devoting space to the collection of the University of Arkansas Museum...a collection still intact even though it is no longer on permanent display to the public.

January tax revenues for Arkansas beat expectations by about 13 percent, an increase of about 12 percent from collections in January 2012. Arkansas Senator Jason Rapert defends comments he made during a Tea Party rally last year in Little Rock. And, the Arkansas House advances legislation that would allow concealed carry of firearms into churches in the state.

Tomorrow evening, Dr. Richard Sonn will give a discussion on Jewish Modernist art of the 1920s along with a performance of Klezmer music in the University of Arkansas student union.
