New public education standards known as “Common Core,” an interdisciplinary English, Language Arts, and Math curriculum, is now being taught in 44 states including Arkansas. The three-day event this year encompasses a variety of locations and activities including golfing, running, trap-shooting and wrapping up with the more traditional gala.
