Bucky Ball, a geometric, LED sculpture by artist Leo Villareal, is the first temporary outdoor installation for the museum. The work gets its name from Buckminster Fuller, an architect who designed geodesic domes. Ozarks at Large’s Christina Thomas spoke with Villareal about this and other works.

The three-day event this year encompasses a variety of locations and activities including golfing, running, trap-shooting and wrapping up with the more traditional gala. Author Gary B. Agee discusses his book “A Cry for Justice: Daniel Rudd and His Life in Black Catholicism, Journalism and Activism, 1854-1933” with Ozarks at Large’s Kyle Kellams. Daniel Rudd was born a slave in Kentucky, but as a young man he founded and edited one of the most successful African-American owned newspapers of his time.
