For more than a hundred years, county extension agents have worked within communities teaching the art and science of canning. Jacqueline Froelich --who has preserved blueberries, applesauce and okra pickles--takes us to the Washington County fair to meet extension agent Linda Chappell.The first phase of Fayetteville High School recently received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver accreditation. Nordex USA plans to pay $2.5 million back to the state after failing to meet employment expectations set when the company accepted state development money. And, today is the day of the special run-off election to fill a vacancy on the Springdale City Council.

We speak to two U of A System Division of Agriculture researchers who make that claim. Kevin Jones is a professor of english and rhetoric at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, but his new book uncovers parts of the city's history, using pictures from postcard to tell the story. Ozarks at Large's Timothy Dennis spoke with Dr. Jones about the book.

Ozarks at Large’s Kyle Kellams spoke with University of Arkansas art historian and assistant professor Lynn Jacobs about her new book, which attempts to reinterpret the early Netherelandish triptych.
