The Fort Smith Northside High School Jazz Band will hold a fundraising performance at UAFS’s Second-Street Live Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.. This professional-caliber show will raise funds to send these student musicians to summer band camp.

Ahead on this edition of Ozarks: the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery is four years old. There have been some bumps along the way, but the games of chance have provided hundreds of millions of dollars for scholarships. We'll talk to the lottery's second director, Bishop Woosley. Plus 40,000 students in elementary and middle schools across northwest Arkansas create art in a single day and the marvels involved with a staging of Carnival at the Alma Performing Arts Center. The show has steam punk costuming, puppets and music.
A new exhibit at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale follows the White River in photographs and stories.

A new report released yesterday by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation finds that Arkansas had the fourth-highest rate of immigrant population in the United States during the first decade of this century. But while the state's immigrant population remains below the national average, the report also says that the growth has been beneficial to the state's economy.
