The Fayetteville Public Schools’ Bookmobile is making an impact, through books, on young members of the community in an effort to combat summer learning loss. Catch up with them Monday, July 21 and again July 28 at the following locations:
- 9:30- Red Oak Park (Carlsbad/Boxley/Bridgeport Subdivision area off Wedington)
- 10:15- The Links at Wedington (at the roundabout in the middle of the complex)
- 11:00- Woodway Apartments (by the complex pool)
- 11:45- Crofton Manor off Mt. Comfort (on Hatterly Street)
- 12:10- Washington Plaza Apartments (Under a grove of trees towards the back entrance of the complex)
The Beaver Lake Sailing Club, headquartered near Lost Bridge, is not only a historic recreational club, the membership is engaged in numerous charitable events. Ozarks at Large and the staff at the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History at the University of Arkansas have struck a partnership. The center has agreed to provide us recordings of certain iconic Arkansans sharing their life stories---stories we will share with you once a month. In turn, listeners will be guided to the center's collection of 750 audio interviews and a hundred video interviews.
