The Fayetteville Public Schools’ Bookmobile is making an impact, through books, on young members of the community in an effort to combat summer learning loss. Catch up with them Monday, July 21 and again July 28 at the following locations:
- 9:30- Red Oak Park (Carlsbad/Boxley/Bridgeport Subdivision area off Wedington)
- 10:15- The Links at Wedington (at the roundabout in the middle of the complex)
- 11:00- Woodway Apartments (by the complex pool)

- 12:10- Washington Plaza Apartments (Under a grove of trees towards the back entrance of the complex)
The Beaver Lake Sailing Club, headquartered near Lost Bridge, is not only a historic recreational club, the membership is engaged in numerous charitable events. Ahead on this edition of Ozarks: how soup in Ft. Smith can help some area children have a better weekend. Plus students at the University of Arkansas will be in charge of soup, salad and everything else at the Crescent Hotel for an upcoming weekend. We also have a wrap up of the month ahead in visual arts and go to a church to learn more about how art and faith can be closely related.
The University of Arkansas is set to host the 2010 Advances in Breast Cancer Research Workshop October 25th through 29th. The workshop hopes to provide an opportunity to leading breast cancer researchers from disciplines such as biomagnetics, nanotechnology, microwave imaging and biochemistry, to focus and collaborate on "high risk-high gain" research.

It is hard to imagine Eugene Sargent's mind or his hands ever rest. He is a sculptor and works with wood, metals, cement, and other materials. He creates furniture that is art and art that is furniture. He paints and draws. He writes. He makes computer cases out of aluminum and flashlights out of old tent poles. So it makes sense that his studio near Lincoln in Washington County is a pretty astonishing creation, too.
