Four years after Woodstock, a circle of friends living in Eureka Springs decide to stage an Ozark heritage family folk festival on a remote and rugged Carroll County wilderness. But instead of parents with children, an estimated hundred fifty thousand hippies showed up. Jacqueline Froelich takes us to visit the site, on the fortieth anniversary. Recipients of a grant from the Winthrop Rockefeller foundation plan to implement savings programs for after high school schooling and improve the state's 49th rank in the country for young adults with a post-secondary education.
The state is the first in the country to implement a smart 911 system.
