An aging coal-fired power station in Gentry, known as Flint Creek, requires an expensive retrofit to meet new EPA regulations. But opponents see an opportunity to retire the plant and pursue alternative energy. A public hearing on the matter is scheduled before the Arkansas Public Service Commission on March 28th.The Arkansas General Assembly advances legislation that would bar minors from buying E-cigarettes, as well as legislation that would prohibit the naming of public buildings after actively serving lawmakers.
