For well over a century the Gibson family has been making baskets in northwest Arkansas. We recently spent an afternoon with Terry Gibson, a fourth-generation artisan, learning how the baskets are created.
Judd Burns, Jason Smith, Roger Haak, Michael Baker Brown, the four members of the a cappella group 540 Express, recently performed some holiday tunes inside KUAF.Last month, the relatively new University of Arkansas Ballroom and Latin dance club took to the floors of the Ohio Star Ball, the largest ballroom dancing competition in the nation. Senator John Boozman delivered the inaugural lecture in the food for Thought lecture series, presented by the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, food and Life Sciences. The discussion focused on many topics, one of which was fuel. And afterwards, the senator talked about his thoughts on the budget and how long sequestration will last.
In a rare opportunity, both of Arkansas' U.S. Senators were in Fayetteville at the same time, so we took the opportunity to ask them about the similarities of fundraising, whether for programming or a reelection campaign.
