The 12th Annual Northwest Arkansas Soup Sunday benefiting Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families is this Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. in Springdale. OAL’s Christina Thomas spoke with Laura Kellams, director of the organization’s Northwest Arkansas office. The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation recently awarded this rural advocacy organization a $175,000. Rural Community Alliance will use a portion of the funds for a community revitalization project in Southeast Arkansas. Ozarks at Large’s Christina Thomas spoke with the directors of both organizations.
