During a recent visit to the studio, Don't Stop Please performed an original song called Henry and the Great Salt Lake.Monday is Pi Approximation Day (a.k.a. Casual Pi Day) because when written in the day/month format (22/7) the date equals 3.14 or the mathematical constant known as pi (hooray math jokes!). The Joint Budget Committee of the Arkansas LEgislature hears from Arkansas Department of Human Services regarding funding for the state's Private Option expansion of Medicaid, while a new Talk Business Arkansas-Hendrix College poll suggests that Arkansans are supportive of the program. And, Crawford County officials are hopeful that voters will be supportive of a sales tax increase that would fund construction and operation of a new county jail.

The commercial killing of horses for food ended in the U.S. six years ago, but was revived in 2011. Three horse slaughterhouses were set to open in the U.S., including one in Missouri. But on Jan. 16th Congress declined funding USDA inspections for horse meatpacking plants, basically shutting down the industry.
